Letterman Jackets

Lone Star FFA Letterman Jackets


The students of the Lone Star FFA Chapter are eligible for an FFA letterman jacket if the following criteria are met. The student is responsible for purchasing his/her own letterman jacket after receiving approval from the campus FFA advisor(s).  Additional patches may be purchased by the students, but should be approved by the advisor(s) prior to the purchase of the jacket.


Applicants must meet all the following criteria: 


1. The student must be a member in good standing with the Lone Star FFA and abide by the FFA/Agriscience Department Code of Conduct, as outlined in the Lone Star FFA/Agricultural Science Department Handbook.


2. The student must have attended 75% of all club meetings, unless excused by the FFA advisor(s).


4. The student must be classified as a Sophomore and must have been a member of the FFA for a minimum of three (3) semesters.


5. The student must have received their Greenhand and eligible for their Chapter FFA Degrees.


6. The student must have participated in all FFA Fundraisers during their membership in the Lone Star FFA Chapter.(Exempt 2020-2021)


8. The FFA advisor(s) must recommend the student for a letter jacket.


Applicants must meet at least one (1) of the following criteria: 


1. The student must participate on a CDE and LDE team.


2. The student must place first (1st), second (2nd), or third (3rd) in the Area V Leadership Development Event/Contest.


3. The student must place in the top 10 individuals at any CDE Competition, or be on a state qualifying team. 


4. The student must win a National FFA Award or receive individual or special recognition from the National FFA Organization.


5. The student is elected to a District, Area, State, or National Office.


6. The student must have received their Lone Star FFA Degree.


7. The student’s SAE project is shown at the Collin County Livestock Show, with 75+ hours entered in their AET Record Book. 


8. The student must complete 100 community service hours.  (Hours to be approved by an FFA Advisor)


9. The student must participate in the Ag Ambassadors Program or attend WLC.


10. The student must participate in the District Prepared, Extemporaneous, or Soil and Water Speaking Contests.
